This stadium is located on the banks of the Manzanares in the Arganzuela district of Spaanish Capital Madrid. Estadio Vicente Calderon Stadium is home ground of Spanish Club Atletico Madrid and it got it’s name after a famous Atletico Club president as it was originally known as the Manzanares Stadium.
It has a 54,907 seater capacity and it is the fourth stadium of Spanish clubs with the largest seater capacity. Vicente Calderon was also among those venues that hosted the 1982 FIFA World Cup competitions in Spain, hosting three second round games of Group D. The stadium has been hosting several Spain National Team games since 2003.
