Premier League Manager of The Month Awards
December – Manuel Pellegrini – Manchester City
The last month of the year was honored to Manchester City coach Manuel Pelegrini after guiding his Manchester City team to five victories and a draw in the last month of the year saw him take the Premier League manager of the month for December beating Manchester United’s Luis Van Gaal, Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho and Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger to the award.
On 3rd December Manchester City beat Sunderland 1-4 away, On the 6th they beat Everton 1-0 at home, the won again on the 13th beating Leicester 1-0 away, the victories did not stop as on the 20th they beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at home, they also beat Westbrom 3-1 away on boxing day before drawing 2-2 with Burnley at the Etihad.
After winning the award pellegrini said “I always say that December is a key month so it was very important for us to finish the year in that way,”.
