2. Paul Lambert – Aston Villa
in 2012 after the sacking of the then manager of Aston Villa Alex McLeish, it was confirmed that Paul Lambert will take over the job at Aston Villa two weeks after the sacking of Alex McLeish. Lambert’s first competitive game as manager of Aston Villa was a 1-0 defeat against newly promoted West Ham United team away at Upton Park. His first win came against Swansea City with Villa winning 2-0. On 23 December 2012 Aston Villa were beaten 8-0 by in form Chelsea making it their worst defeat in top flight football.
On 11th February 2015 Aston Villa announced that they parted companies with Paul Lambert after a 2-0 loss at Hull leaving the club sitting 18th in the Premier League on the verge of being relegated, 3 days later it was announced that Tim Sherwood would take over the job as manager at Villa Park.
