3. England – 12 Champions League Titles
England definitely has to make the list considering it has one of the top clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea etc, the country has a total of 12 Champions League Trophies won by the clubs in the Premier League.
We are going to start with the club with the highest number of Champions League titles in England that is Liverpool with a record of 5 Champions League the last one coming in 2005 after they beat AC Milan to what looked to be one of the most entertaining final’s in world football, the first time Liverpool won the Champions League trophy was in 1977 after beating Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-1 in the final, the won it again the following year against Club Brugge beating them 1-0 thanks to a goal by Dalglish. we are not going to mention all of the finals won by Liverpool but we can’t forget to mention the most historical against AC Milan in 2005, Liverpool beat AC Milan on penalties after having to come back from a 3 goal deficit at half time.
The second English club to win the Champions League is Manchester United with 3 Champions League trophies won in 1968, 1999 & 2008 respectively., the most recent Champions League title they won was against rivals Chelsea in the final in 2008 Manchester United won on Penalties to claim their 3rd Champions League title. Manchester United won the 1999 Champions League in a very dramatic way against Bayern Munchen a match Manchester United won after trailing winning 2-1 thanks to 2 last minute goals in injury time we can’t mention everything but we are making it as brief as possible.
