One of the biggest underdog victories ever in Soccer history. The North Koreans were the underdogs of the 1966 World Cup due to the fact that they were debutants to the World Cup while Italy were strong favorites with their success winning the World Cup twice successively in the years 1934 and 1938. The Koreans went onto the pitch with the mindset of winners and as they played through the game they only managed to score a single goal and that was the only one needed at the moment to seal the game, this goal saw North Korea to a 1-0 win over Italy.
